Times



Weight classes:

For adults, we are following IBJJF weight classes, with gi on. We may combine weight classes if there are not at least 4 competitors.
For children, we will make divisions after registrations are complete, and notify coaches of the brackets early.


We are NOT having weigh ins! This is an in house tournament- you are on the honor system.


Open Weight:

EVERYONE in the Adult or Master divisions are eligible for open weight, regardless of medals and at no extra cost.

Weight division brackets are double elimination, however Open Weight brackets will be single elimination, for the sake of time.

Kids Divisions:

Once we gather all the kids registrations we will create divisions and brackets. Our goal is to match everyone up with their best matches equal to their size and skill level. Coaches will be notified of brackets early to discuss changes.

Registration:

$45 before August 15

Rules:

IBJJF Rules for combate. We are here to have some fun, encourage competition, get you ready for your next big tournament, etc. We want to help everyone learn the rules, kids will get lots of leeway and help. Adults, maybe a few warnings, no help ;)
No submissions for kids 5 & under.

Women, boys, and girls may wear rashguards. Men; nothing under the gi jacket.
Other than that, We will not be strictly enforcing other uniform rules; length of belt, color of gi, etc.

Spectator admission:

Spectators:

Seating will be mostly on the mats. We have some benches/chairs but not many. We ask that you put your shoes on the shelves, or wear shoe covers (provided), or we have plastic bags to keep shoes with you! Yes we have flip flops in the bathrooms.

Signs, banners, drums, etc., whatever, all ok! Show up for your athlete in full force! We love it!

Food:

We will have little snacks, water, gatorade for sale. Feel free to bring your own/whatever you want.

Waiver:


Every participant will need to fill out a waiver. If you are already a Renton student, or have visited the Renton gym, you already did it. Please see waiver link here: http://www.smartwaiver.com/v/visitors

Parking:


The parking lot in front of the Bruce Lee mural is available. Street parking is also everywhere. Please do not park in the Cugini Flowers or Salon Fifty 7 parking lot. McCorkle Accountants parking lot is also available to us.
